Dr. Tommy Kirkpatrick
Veterinarian
Dr. Tommy Kirkpatrick came to Point Pleasant and began working at Crank Animal Hospital in 2003 under Dr. Bill Crank. He is originally from Glenville, WV, and attended West Virginia University, where he received his BS in Animal and Veterinary Sciences in 2000. He continued at The Ohio State University, receiving his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 2003. Dr. Kirkpatrick became partners with Dr. Crank, and in 2018, Dr. Kirkpatrick and his wife, Amber, purchased the practice, which is now known as Kirkpatrick Animal Hospital. They have two children, Keegan and Ava, who are involved with sports and various activities. The family operates a 75-cow calf farm with a small herd of market goats. Dr. Kirkpatrick enjoys watching his children grow and attending their sporting events as well as traveling with his family.
Dr. McCoy
Veterinarian
Dr. Max McCoy joined Kirkpatrick Animal Hospital in 2020. Dr. McCoy grew up in Ravenswood, WV, at a young age he knew he had a passion for veterinary medicine. He was heavily involved in FFA throughout
high school and one of his favorite activities was showing heifers and steers in the Jackson County Junior Fair. He graduated from West Virginia University with a degree in Animal and Nutritional Sciences in 2016. He continued his education at The Ohio State University to receive his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 2020. Dr. McCoy enjoys working on his beef cattle farm and being outdoors.
Dr. Hitt
Veterinarian
Jarred Hitt started at our clinic as a veterinary assistant while attending Point Pleasant high school. After graduating, in 2015 he attended West Virginia University and received a bachelor’s degree in animal science in 2019. He then went on to Mississippi State University, where he received his DVM. He enjoys spending time with his wife and two dogs. He has a diverse background in both large and small animals and is very excited to be back home and serve the community he grew up in.
